An Intro Guide To CPV Advertising

Published under AdViews Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Affiliate marketers are always on the lookout for new paid sources of traffic. Most people are familiar with PPC marketing, but not many have tried out contextual advertising sources. You may also see contextual advertising called pay-per-view (PPV) or cost-per-view (CPV) advertising.

With contextual advertising, computers with a specific type of adware installed will popup an advertisement to a user. Many companies install adware on a users computer in exchange for free games, toolbars, and screensavers. One example is Gamevance which installs its adware application in exchange for allowing the user to play the free games on its network. Keep in mind that adware is not necessarily spyware and most reputable companies make sure that their users are explicitly informed about what they are installing and ensure their adware can be easily uninstalled as well.

When utilizing contextual advertising, you can bid on different keywords or urls. So when a user visits that keyword or url, a popup will display on their computer with your ad on it. You are free to direct link to an offer, or design your own landing page from scratch. Just remember that you are limited by the size of the popup. On a PPV network like MediaTraffic, you will be limited to a space of 750 x 550 pixels. Therefor, it is important to ensure that your landing page is designed to work in a limited space.

Costs per popup will vary depending on the competition for the keyword or url. Minimum bids on the networks can get as low as 1 cent per view, but more competitive targets can cost you somewhat more. Just remember you are getting charged per view. Regardless of whether the visitor ignores your popup or immediately closes it, you still need to pay.

PPV is getting more popular because it seems easier to get started with compared to PPC. Make sure though, that you are set to invest enough time and money to test. If you aren’t careful, CPV traffic can blow through your budget very fast. Still, when you discover the right offer you have the potential to make an enormous ROI from it.

Contextual advertising has the potential to be an excellent traffic source, so use it to your advantage. Not everyone will be successful with it, but there are many who are finding it quite lucrative. Give contextual advertising a shot, and see if you can’t start making some money with it.

Cost Per Action Marketing, Is It Real?

Published under AdViews Thursday, December 31st, 2009

The marketing program called CPA or Cost Per Action Marketing, had it’s roots in internet marketing many years ago. This seems, at the outset to be very much like any other affiliate program as it is about referrals. Is seems to be the same, it is based on referrals and the results. But on close inspection, one will see that this is where the similarity stops.

The difference between this type of marketing and regular affiliate marketing is that there is no need for the potential referral to buy anything. CPA marketing is all about an action, that’s it, just an action. The goal here is to get the referral to click on something or fill in a form.

Once the perspective referral clicks on an ad, they will receive something for free, a report, recipe, or anything else. This is actually a way for the large off line companies to get referrals and leads.

If someone is stuck in the classic Affiliate marketing, they are going to think that this is some kind of scam. “How can someone make money when nothing is sold?” Well what we have to realize here is that this is designed by huge marketing companies and is profitable for them. Regardless how it looks, there is a profit potential for the people who are paying for the click.

The important thing to look at here is that this marketing is very well thought out by the marketing geniuses of the huge companies. In addition to that, one must realize that marketing is much different on the internet than in the world itself. There are very few of the Affiliates that do well in the internet marketing game that come equipped with a real education in marketing.

The online marketers look at the whole world of marketing much different than marketers of the past. These guys have things figured out to the bottom line all the way around. There is a statistic for every ad and every link. They know everything about every lead that comes from any one specific place.

The truth to this being, not many people make any real money in CPA. The actual results are that as many as 90% of people who try this will fail.

If someone does not have a good and strong record in CPA or a professionally designed website, they will fail. The websites have to be very highly designed in marketing psychology or the person will not make any money in the CPA world.

Today new and improved CPA networks are springing up to give the more average marketing person a go at making money in this business.

The Basics of AdWords

Published under AdViews Sunday, December 27th, 2009

As far as online marketing tools go, Google AdWords, is certainly among the more powerful and innovative ones. While it isn’t the only one, it seems to be creating waves with its host of features that allows its users to customize an effective marketing campaign according to their needs. More and more people are realizing the benefits of using Google AdWords and it is fast becoming the most preferred internet marketing service for pay per click advertising.

Basically the ads are either placed on the popular Google search engine www.google.com or either of its national or local servers (such as their regional sites www.google.co.in), under the banner sponsored links. Whenever a user or a prospective customer clicks on the link the company has to pay Google AdWords per click. The ad can be anything from a two line text ad, or an image ad, banner ads or even an in page video ad. The costs vary depending on the type of ads.

Getting a Google AdWords account is as easy as setting up an e-mail account. Directions are provided for beginners and they are very simple and easy to understand. If you already have an e-mail with Google, you can use that to access Google AdWords. After that you choose your advertising program. You can either go in for a ‘Starter’ or ‘Standard Edition’. Select your language preference, input your credit card details for future billing, pay the initial fee of $5, and you are now ready to create an ad with Google AdWords.

One cannot place an ad that contains a trademarked name or symbol. Any reference cited to illegal activities, or gambling, hacking etc are strictly prohibited. This feature of banning adverts of trademarked stuff was implemented in 2004. One also cannot advertise student essay services. This was banned in 2007 much to the delight of many universities. Google AdWords used to allow the link to land or be redirected to another landing page. But as of April 2008 Google has stopped this process.

Another reason AdWords is so effective is that traffic that is generated by the campaign is pre-qualified. Your AdWords campaign targets specific keywords and only people who are interested in these keywords will click on your ad. They are interested in the products and services you have to offer either directly or indirectly. So, the traffic that comes your way is relevant traffic and there are higher chances that you may be able to convert them to customers faster.

These are but the basics of Google AdWords, and as time goes on, you are bound to learn more and more about making the best Google AdWords campaign for your business. It is definitely not easy and there is a learning curve involved. But once you have learned the tricks of the trade, you will be able to derive maximum benefit from this service.

Search Engine Optimization Vs. Pay Per Click

Published under AdViews Saturday, December 26th, 2009

Establishing an Internet presence for your business and pulling in paying customers cannot be done today without a very effective search engine marketing strategy which we will teach you with the Carbon Copy Pro System. While that is a given, it is not always easy to put a marketing plan in motion that will deliver the massive results you really want. That is why it is very important to get familiar with the two types of search engine marketing currently being used and determine which one is a good fit for your goals. One option is Search Engine Optimization (or SEO) and the other option is Pay Per Click (or PPC).

Introducing Search Engine Optimization

There are two aspects of SEO: off-page and on-page. Off-page search engine optimization requires building links pointing to your site from other high valued sites as well as various other strategies that are done off of your actual website in order to boost your own search engine ranking. On-page optimization includes producing keyword rich content and correctly naming each page of the site.

Results you see from SEO are known as organic. A visitor to your website that arrives there from a normal query in the search engine is known as an organic visitor. You didn’t have to pay to drive that person to your website, instead it was a result of your natural placement in the search engines.

What many people do not realize at first is that it takes some time to effectively use SEO marketing strategies. Just building a new keyword-rich site is not enough to get a very high ranking with the search engines. Most sites will work consistently with a site for a year or much longer to establish themselves on the top search engines results pages. That’s because SEO takes some time to correctly develop and employ so that the search engines pick up on the value and relevancy of the site.

The Pay Per Click Option

While SEO campaigns are organic, PPC requires a financial investment to secure. Instead of appearing naturally on the search results pages as recommended site, pay per click makes you a paid advertiser at the very top of the search engine results pages for particular keywords. This means your links are separated out at the top of the page or along the side of the page, while organic (free) links show up down the center of the page.

If you are thinking it’s like advertising in the local paper, you’re wrong. It is a bit more complicated because you are not paying just to be placed on specific keyword results pages. What you are charged for instead are the individual clicks that your links receive. So, if no one clicks your link you won’t be out much but if you become extremely popular with searchers it could get quite expensive. The highest bidders are the highest ranked.

Fast results are what lure people to PPC campaigns. Most people cannot afford financially to start up with PPC right out of the box, but with time it is a very rewarding marketing strategy that delivers faster results.

While you can afford financially to make some mistakes with organic SEO, you cannot afford to do that with PPC marketing. Since you are paying for every visitor that the search engine brings your way, you have to make sure that the keywords you bid on are tightly associated and descriptive of your site so that you bring in the right visitors. It is equally important that you have a well designed landing page that converts those visitors into paying customers once they do find you.

You can see now why this is a big choice to make. Do you stick with long term free results with search engine optimization, or spring for the expense of a pay per click campaign and short term results?

The best practice is to incorporate a blend of both options into a well thought out marketing strategy. You have to work with the available marketing funds for your business at any given time, and that can be done by optimizing your site adequately and bidding on relevant keywords. You can always adjust the number and amount of bids to account for a changing budget, such as going with pay per click ads to announce the opening of a new site and then backing off.

You may also choose to be heavier handed with PPC if your goal is to bring in immediate sales. SEO can still be used to slowly attract and convert paying customers over time.

Be sure to consider both PPC and SEO when developing your Internet marketing strategy. Both can pay huge dividends for your website, but as mentioned they are extremely different from one another. Used in conjunction, they can be an extremely powerful tag team of Internet marketing.

Making On Google – How Can Google Help You Making Money On The Internet

Published under AdViews Saturday, December 26th, 2009

Does people make money on Google for real? Lately, there were several scams abused Google’s name and gave the wrong idea. They made people think their program is sponsored by Google itself and 100% legitimate. In reality, Google can bring you potential customers, but whether you make the money or not, it is up to your own effort.

When they say make money from Google, it means you gain profit by selling products in your own website. The concept is similar to selling at eBay. You sell your own product while potential customers will visit eBay and find your business.

The same situation happens everyday on the internet. Google conducts billions of searchers everyday and connect thousands of business with their potential customers.

These are reasons why making money with Google is great:

1. You don’t need your own product to sell. There are lots of companies willing to pay average people like you and me to market their products. Refer them to a customer and you will be paid. This model is known as affiliate marketing.

2. You can also sell advertising space. If you ever use free email services like Yahoo Mail or Gmail, you’ll notice there are ads around the inbox. Google and Yahoo earn money thanks to these ads. You can do the same if you have a website.

3. Almost all assets necessary are available for free. Today, most program are available on the internet for free, including web space and site builder. You don’t need to learn how to create a good-looking website. Get professional templates and site builder for free at Weebly or Tripod. Even better, you can also sell products from Amazon or Clickbank marketplace without any registration fee.

4. You can get customers for free. If you are running offline business, you need to pay for advertising cost or rent a shop on a busy road. Otherwise, people won’t find your business. However, on the internet, as long as you provide relevant information, you will get free traffic and convert them into buyers.
